Summary
A Personal Care Assistant or CNA provides non-medical care to EverSpring Home Care, LLC clients in their residence and outside of the residence as needed. Personal Care Assistants must be committed to the mission and vision of EverSpring Home Care and possess the desire to assist clients to maximize their independence and reach their fullest potential. You will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care working closely with clients to help with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide valuable support to enhance their overall well-being. You may also perform home maintenance and organizing tasks, including light housekeeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow the established client care plan and/or service agreement.
- Help clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility, while preserving their dignity and promoting independence.
- Assist clients with safe transfers, repositioning, and exercises to prevent pressure sores and promote physical well-being.
- Provide medication reminders as prescribed by the client’s healthcare provider, adhering to medication safety protocols and accurately documenting the activity.
- Support clients with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are considered.
- Offer emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations with clients to alleviate loneliness and enhance their mental and emotional well-being.
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly in cases of emergency.
- Report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance to the immediate supervisor or Nurse Supervisor per company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, including daily activity logs, medication records, and any changes in the client’s condition.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures including adherence to HIPAA regulations and policies regarding private health information.
- Keeps all records up to date, organized, and ready for inspection at any time.
- Monitor and/or pick up care supplies and resources.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and evaluations.
- Promotes client, staff, and office safety precautions.
- May provide concierge services to include shopping and errands.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification in Georgia required.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing exceptional care and support.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to adhering to scheduled shifts and responsibilities.
- Proficient in infection control practices, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
- Skilled in following care plans and implementing healthcare provider instructions.
- Able to adapt to changing client needs and demonstrate clinical decision-making.
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of home care regulations (preferred).
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Proficient in computer skills including MS Office Suite, home health software.
- Ability to pass a background screening, TB testing, drug testing, and health assessment.
